As A TUSD Board Member Tre will:
Advocate for modern approaches to student learning, moving away from “Teaching to the Test”
Introduce clear, distinct-wide AI and Technology policies
Increase course personalization for middle and high school students
Instate district-wide policy addressing smartphones in classrooms
BUILDING PATHWAYS TO SUCCESS
Student success is not a one-size-fits-all model. Tre knows that from early education, to high school, and into college or career readiness, our district must provide clear, well-supported pathways to success that recognize students' diverse strengths, interests, and needs. This includes offering rigorous academic options, meaningful career and technical education, and access to counseling and resources that help students navigate each stage of their academic journey.
AS A TUSD BOARD MEMBER TRE WILL:
Increase career and technical education (CTE) opportunities
Expand International Baccalaureate (IB) program and dual-credit classes
Increase credit recovery options
Advocate for courses focused on financial literacy, civic engagement, and other life skills
Increase number of bus drivers & Improve bussing routes
Maintain open and consistent student, staff, and community engagement
Build consensus among board members
Expand available elective courses in schools
CREATING STRONGER LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS
Tre understands that increasing enrollment and keeping students in class requires more than just encouraging attendance, it demands a commitment to creating learning environments where students and staff feel supported. Tre believes in having physically safe schools, equipped with updated materials, and staffed with enough counselors, teachers, and support personnel to meet students’ academic and emotional needs.
AS A TUSD BOARD MEMBER TRE WILL:
Ensure schools have properly staffed libraries
Balance the TUSD budget through top-down cuts and new revenue sources
Ensure the quality of school facilities
Increase teacher and staff pay
Provide greater resources for students and families facing insecurities
Expand access of mental health resources for students
Increase counselors and support staff
