Meet tre
Student and Community Leader
Tre’Davon Rhodes was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona to a single mother and incarcerated father. Despite being dealt a difficult hand, Tre seized the opportunities presented to him and, inspired by the hard work and dedication of his mother, graduated from Sabino High School and became the first in his family to attend college. Now, Tre attends the University of Arizona where he studies Political Science and Economics.
A dedicated student, older brother, community organizer and youth leader, Tre’Davon has served on the executive board of numerous organizations across Southern Arizona.
Tre’s experience as a student leader includes his roles on the leadership teams of University of Arizona Aspiring Black Lawyers, The University of Arizona Black Student Union, and other prominent student organizations at the UofA. Tre’s leadership extends off campus having served as constituent services intern in Tucson City Council Member Paul Cunningham’s office and through local political action.
Now, Tre is focused on giving back to the community and district that gave him so much. Tre is squarely committed to ensuring that our district is adapting to a new generation of learners, building pathways to success for all students and creating stronger learning environments in our schools.
“Tre’Davon is an impressive young leader and brings a much needed fresh perspective to our local public schools. I am proud to support Tre’Davon Rhodes for TUSD Governing Board ”
